Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani box office collection: Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt starrer has a decent first week | Hindi Movie News
Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has been garnering a lot of love from all corners. But when it comes to box office, the film has performed strictly decently, as per a report on Box Office India.
The film has collected in the range of Rs 70 crore in its first week. The number might look good but just like Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, but they don’t justify the kind of budget it has been made on.One also has to consider the genre, for the genre of romance and drama the numbers are decent as it has not been able to reach out to mass circuits. While Ranbir was coming after the success of Brahmastra withTu Joothi Main Makkaar, Ranveer had a string of flops viz Cirkus and Jayeshbhai Jordaar.
One strong point of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has been the way the film has been able to hold on during the weekdays and with a clear second week and no competition, the film should cover some more ground. The second Friday hold is important, if it continues just like the weekdays then the film will be on its way to success. By third friday the film will be facing massive competition from Gadar 2 and Oh My God 2.
