SRK, who hailed from Delhi, struggled to make it big. Today, he owns a lavish house in Mumbai which is one of the iconic structures in the city. However, before this, he owned a penthouse in Mumbai which his mother-in-law found very small.
In one of the throwback interviews, Shah Rukh revealed that as his mother-in-law hailed from Delhi, where people are used to having big living spaces and owned bungalows, she found living in flats quite awkward. The superstar also added that she used to find his house like a ship because it used to have a triangle-shaped roof.
Today, his humble abode Mannat is one of the tourist attractions in the city of Mumbai where thousands of fans gather just to get a glimpse of the superstar.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh is awaiting the release of his next, ‘Jawan’. Directed by Atlee, it stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. It is slated to hit the theatres on September 7, 2023.
