According to Box Office India, this jump is probably the biggest jump for a major release post pandemic.The report further states that the growth could have been more outside the bigger multiplexes as they were much lower on day one. Trade also suggests that Karan Johar’s directorial venture has impacted the box office collection of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and with a strong word of mouth, Sunday collections look even more stronger than Friday and Saturday.
The film marks the return of Karan Johar in the director’s chair after a gap of 7 years and with this he completes 25 years in the film business. These numbers will also do a world of good to Ranveer Singh whose last few films have not done too well.
